Mommy & Daddy Time

Today was kind of a yucky day, but a weekend day none the less. So, Doug and Wyatt had thought about going to the game but then as the day went on the enthusiasm was waining and they were beginning to back out. So I decided that maybe it might be a good mommy and daddy date game. Daddy jumped on board with that and so we gathered everyone and thing and headed out the door to drop off the boys and then down to the game.
It ended up to be a pretty good time. We ended up getting box seat tickets nearly on the 50 yard line 19 rows up for face value. Though it was a nothing game for UT it was a good time to be together and we actually saw UT win (which lately has been somewhat of a rare occurrence).

Rory Turns 1!

So a couple of days ago Rory turned one. CRAZY!!!!!! Can't believe this year is already over :( Well on the brighter side we decided to have a small little party affair with the family. Wyatt was my little "big" helper in making the cupcakes and party hats and shirt. (Sadly Rory wasn't feeling well that night and he never made it into his shirt but it was still cute nonetheless). Here's some pics.

Playing Outside

We've been outside alot these past few weeks and here's a few photos of what we've been doing out there.

(yes of course he's already in love with the little balance bike, even if he still needs help!)

I Can Use My Fork!

In short Rory figured the whole fork thing out. He loves poking his food by himself.

Puppy Love

Couple of weeks ago Rory was hungry for an afternoon snack but I was really trying to help Wyatt to something in the sand box so I gave Rory his bag of snack cheerios to 'helpy self'. (ussually I don't do this for the following reasons). However I didn't do alot more helping Wyatt because we both were amused with what Rory and Isabella began began to do with his snack.

Stuck

Rory found my tangle of elastic a couple of weeks ago and thought it looked like a fun toy. He then thought that crawling here and there and there and here with it also sounded fun until it finally reached it's maximum stretch. Then he was done and wanted help to get out.

Enjoying the Almost Summer Weather

Just some fun pictures of us enjoying our time outside the other day. Wyatt was lounging on an exercise ball while Rory was trying to figure out a way to ride Wyatt's bike.

Then he decided to eat dirt. Surprise surprise.

Trash Can Heads

We were playing in Wyatts room the other day when Rory decided to put Wyatts trash can on his head. Wyatt quickly noticed, and not wanting to be out done, quickly copied him with the matching trash can in Rory's room. They had a lot of fun with each other.
Wonder if there's still hope for the two becoming good friends. Well here's to hoping.

Mr. Cool

Just thought this was pretty funny. He's such a cool cat! Wonder if he'll be a heart breaker when he grows up? Just hope he let's the girls down easy. :o)

Sweet Horned Baby

Wyatt, Rory and I ran to the store last night to get some egg gravel to finish up our drainage strip in front of the porch. When we got home I backed the cruiser up to the porch and let the boys hang out while I unloaded the gravel. A whole 2-3 minutes later I had finished and turned around to see three blood sucking mosquitos sucking on little Rory's face. Aaaaaahhhhhh! Poor guy now has two horns perfectly placed above each eye and one beside his eye too.

On the brighter side the drainage is finished.

Lookout On The Road Today

We went to the grocery store this morning for two things. I thought we would be able to just run it and out without a buggy or anything but of course we wanted to do the car buggy today and then one thing led to another and so..... Anyway since we had the car buggy Wyatt asked if Rory could ride with him in the car. After quick consideration on my part I decided that it might make the rest of the trip quicker and my hands a little more free so.... Well of course he loved it and I think Wyatt enjoyed the company even if the car suddenly became a little more cramped.

Brothers Playing "and" Even SHARING!

So Wyatt has started to become much more territorial with his toys as of late, with Rory becoming more and more mobile and agile. As a result we've been really working on sharing our things and asking before yanking things from each others hands.
Any long story short I caught the boys playing together with Wyatts prized motos the other day and Wyatt had even given Rory 3 motos to play with by himself. I was very proud of Wyatt for being a good big brother.

Wyatt also caught Rory eating grass and had to go in after it. Rory doesn't know it but sometimes he has two moms, even though one is only a couple years older than him. ;o)

Peek-A-Boo I See You

Rory was playing peek-a-boo behind the tree the other day. He's pretty funny cause he's starting to getting really giddy and excited when he anticipates you seeing/finding him.
